Self Portraits of the Universe Here on Earth. By Jasper Reed.

We are all star dust. In fact, I would argue that our reality, our essences owes its existence to the mechanisms of our universe. Our world is full of reminders of our "stardust" origins. No matter where we look, we are constantly reminded that everything around us, and within us, owes itself to that magical dust, that dark matter, that solar wind and deep infinity we call the universe. I must sound like some star struck hippie on a mystical shroom trip, but I'm not. I am just a regular guy that happens to have a keen infatuation with our universe. This lifelong appreciation of the cosmos has allowed me to see the manifestations of the cosmos in my everyday life.I see nebulae in kelp beds, alien civilizations in jellyfish and universes in my morning cup of joe. And I am not the only one. The following works show how photographers are letting their inner geeks shine by capturing the manifestations of outer worldly objects in everyday life through their lenses. Enjoy!
